It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kasimir Augustynski (Sylvan Lake, Alberta), who passed away on December 25, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Kasimir may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his wife Maria. He is survived by: his children, Gerhard (Suzi) and Karen; his grandchildren, James Augustynski (Erika), Amanda Augustynski, Carson Younghusband and Ian Younghusband; and his great grandchild Harvey Augustynski.
A funeral service was held on Friday, January 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church (5033 47a Ave, Sylvan Lake, AB T4S1G8). A burial was held on Friday, January 9th 2026 at 12:15 PM.
