He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Shirley Derksen (Ed) of Taber, Wesley Derksen, Jordan Derksen, Lindsay Derksen, Ryan Derksen, William Sowinski (Annette) of Springbrook, Dustin Sowinski (Gerri), Mathew Collett (Jennica), Zachary Sowinski (Caitlin Cowan), Lisa Sowinski of Taber, Travis Astalos and Morgan Astalos; the father of his children Leonard Astalos; his daughter Linda Sowinski; his parents, Michael Sowinski and Annie Sowinski; and his significant other Jean Daniels. He was also cherished by seven great grandchildren.
