He was predeceased by: his parents, Bonnie Helmer and Carl Melquist. He is survived by: his children, Jesse Bulman of Taber and Kolyn Melquist (Lakyn) of Albany; his grandchild Arya; and his siblings, Christine Melquist (Nathan) and Aaron Melquist (Andrea). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
