She was predeceased by: her parents, Fusakichi Fujimagari and Misu Hayashi; her husband Joe Tatebe; her former husband Eichi Kitagawa; her siblings, Jack, Yoshio, Taketomo Fujimagari, Takeko Baba and Akiko "Anne" Kamitakahara; and her siblings-in-law, Harry Baba, George Hirasawa, Ken Clark, Mary Fujimagari and Barbara Fujimagari.
She is survived by: her sister-in-law Hiroye Fujimagari; and her stepchildren, Albert Tatebe, Joan Bielun, Dalphy Pollard and Rodney Tatebe.
