He was predeceased by : his wife Bette Jespersen; his children, Lynne Dorchak, Wendy Virostek, Roberta Odland and Gordon; his parents, Chris Jespersen and Hazel Jespersen; and his wife Elizabeth Hannah Love.

He is survived by : his close friend Luella Mikalson; his children, John Jespersen (Leah) of Taber, Tom Jespersen (Marsha) of Lethbridge, Bruce Jespersen (Brenda) of Lethbridge, Tim Jespersen (Deb) of Fernie and Patti Carter (Greg) of Kelowna; his sons-in-law, Dan Dorchak of Pincher Creek and Kevin Virostek of Coalhurst; and also Nicole. He is also survived by twenty grandchildren, thirty four great grandchildren and by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
