Lona Gardner Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lona Gardner in Taber, Alberta, who passed away on May 23, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Raymond Glen Gardner; her daughter Lona Loye Gardner; her grandson Jayden Murray Gardner; her parents, Ethel Annie and Samuel Sampson Swalm; her siblings, Samuel Swalm, Earl Swalm, Reece Swalm (Kathleen), Clarice Swalm, Vivian Copeland (Sam), Fay Campbell (Keith) and Hazel Cahoon (George); and her brother-in-law William Schmidt.
She is survived by: her children, Wendy Engleson of Taber, Kristi Engleson, Kory Engleson (Karmen), Kara Engleson, Raymond Gardner (late Victoria) of Taber, James Gardner (Tiana), Jessie Ellingson (Edwyn), Braden Gardner (Siobhan), Jeff Gardner (Kelsey), Murray Gardner (Angela) of Taber, Kaylee, Alyssa, Chelsea, Joshua Gardner and David Gardner (Meredith) of Paris; her grandchildren, Dallas and Kale Gardner; her great grandchildren, Margaret and Isabel Gardner; and her sister Vera Schmidt. She is also survived by sixteen great grandchildren.
As a result of the restrictions regarding COVID-19 and the government recommendations, a private funeral service was held at Southland Funeral Chapel, Taber on Friday, May 28, 2021 at 12:00 P. M.
