He is survived by: his wife Helmi Murtonen; and his children, Markku Murtonen (Pirkko) of Campbell River, Marja Kostamo (Tuomo) of Taber, Miriam Demjanczuk (Wilson) of Naples, Mike Murtonen of Sault St, Vesa Murtonen (Jackie) of Campbell River and Usko Murtonen (Gwen) of Campbell River. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.
