With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Basil Ivey in Thorhild, Alberta, born in Athabasca, Alberta, who passed away on February 8, 2024 at the age of 101. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Basil Ivey to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Garfield Ivey and Edith Ivey (Minnie); his brother Gordon; his former life partner Edwina O'Malley DeFrain; his daughter-in-law Claudette; and his wife Minnie Taylor.

He is survived by : his children, Shirley Piedt (Vern), Gordon, Douglas (Lorraine), Debbie Schmidt (Edgar) and Lorne (Janet). He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren.
