George Schatz Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 24, 2025, at the age of 94, George Schatz of Thorhild, Alberta passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Adam Schatz and Carline Schatz; his grandfather George; and his siblings, Kay, Edna, Albert and Edward.
He is survived by: his children, Amanda (Rob), Sterling (Lynn), Blaine (Myrna) and Derrick; his sisters, Phyllis, Ruby and Lillian; his wife Elsie Hickle; and his extended family, David (Kim), Christina (Allan) and Stephen (Darlene). He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 3rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Thorhild Ukrainian Orthodox Church of St. Peter (805 2 St, Thorhild, AB T0A3J0).
