He was predeceased by: his wife Janice; his grandson Devin Cockerill; his great grandchild Ezekiel Stephan; his parents, John Koza and Anna Koza; and his siblings, Johnny, Steve Koza and Lillian Chopik.

He is survived by: his children, Barry Koza, Pam Levie (Dean), Peggy Cockerill (Chris) and Debbie Sharpe.
