He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Dau and Margaret Dau; and his brother Bob. He is survived by: his wife Pat; his son Ron (Michele); his grandchildren, Haley, Kiana, Julia and Ava; his son Dallas (Lisa); his grandchildren, Anna and Luke; his siblings, Allan (Jane) and Joanne (Murray); and his sisters-in-law, Susan Dau, Louise Alberts, Donna Reed (Bud) and Linda Descoteau (John). He is also survived by his wife of nearly 56 years, his sons and their wives, and his six grandkids, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
