He was predeceased by: his wife Glenna; his parents, Douglas Ward and Margaret Ward; his brother Leo Ward; and his brother-in-law Leo Rainboth.

He is survived by: his children, Trevor Ward (Tamara) and Wendy Hines (Tim); his grandchildren, Darby Stolz (Shay), Dallas Hines (Katie), Dawson Hines, Daryn Hines, Alandra Ward, Caius Ward and Dax Ward; his great grandchild Taityn Stolz; his brother Warren Ward (Rhonda); his siblings-in-law, Elaine Ward, Noreen Rainboth and Al Rainboth; and his nieces, Katelyn Ward (Calvin Flynn), Brittany Fortier (Darcy), Chanelle Ward (Jesse Hinz), Tina Whitlock (Darcy), Twila Stafford (Tyson) and Tamara Schwab (Travis). He is also survived by numerous great nieces and great nephews, extended family and friends.

Donations in memory of Brien may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Brien was a kind person, with a great sense of humor and a twinkle in his eye. I enjoyed his company and was sad to hear of his passing.
