He was predeceased by: his wife Carolyn Benson; his parents, Henry Benson and Delima Benson; and his siblings, Glen Benson, Maurice Bolduc, Margaret Boyer and Cora Letourneau.

He is survived by: his children, Brian Benson (Giselle), Janet Benson (Brent), Joanne Henning, Jackie Naeth (Larry) and Judy Noble (Mark); his grandchildren, Brandi Carrier (Andrew), Blaine van Lieshout (Pieter), Brianne Kutz (Bob), Joshuah Benson, Jacob Benson, Kasey Benson, Candyss Case (Marc), Cody Henning (Randi Rutley), Kyle Henning, Crystal Henning, Brad Naeth (Liz), Brittany Skinner (Brandon), Shayna Noble and Nicky Noble; his great grandchildren, Coral, Joseph, Adalynn, Jaycee, Shelby, Charlie, Jaxson, Hayden, Lexi, Raymond, Benjamin, Kaleb, Keaton and Braxton; his siblings, Rema Boisvert (Gilbert), Herman Benson (Babe), Hector Benson (Roseanne), Fern Melynchuk (Buddy), Dean Benson and Ray Benson; and his sister-in-law Peggy Bolduc. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
