She was predeceased by: her husband Gerald. She is survived by: her children, Michele and Brent; and her brothers, Bill Shymko (Gina), Eugene Shymko (Ollie) and Mac Shymko (Iris). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to: St. Mary's Romanian Orthodox Church of Boian, where a private interment of Nettie and Gerald will take place.
