Erling Odland Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Erling Odland of Vauxhall, Alberta, who passed away on May 18, 2026, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Erling Odland to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his wife Helen Odland; his parents, Erik Odland and Abigail Odland; his siblings, Johanna Severtson (Mag), Sam Odland (Shirley), Christie Hagen (Lloyd), Pete Odland, Alfred Odland (Faye) and Arlene Tolley (Bill); his half-sister Malena Maland; and his in-laws, David, Joan Snaith and Marlene Pakarno.

He is survived by: his children, Doug Odland (Cathy) of Vauxhall, Rosalie Schiiler (Tony) of Salmon Arm and Glenn Odland (Deanne) of Lethbridge; his grandchildren, Kaley Odland, Jesse Odland, Brooke Scott (Bobby), Zachary Odland (Robyn Grasdal), Bobbi Clarke (Kody), Erik Schiiler and Nelson Schiiler; his great grandchildren, Wyatt, Weston, Wren, Adley, Ember Odland, Lizzy, Rhylee Scott, Zoey, Bradie Odland, Noah, Xaija, Phoenix Grasdal and Scarlett Clarke; his sister Pauline Claeys of Lethbridge; his siblings-in-law, Joyce Odland of Lethbridge and Gil Pakarno of Hays; his brother Gerald; and his sister-in-law Beverly Sivertson of Lethbridge. He is also survived by many numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.

A funeral service was held on Friday, May 22nd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Southland Funeral Chapel (5006 48 Ave, Taber, AB T1G1R8). When Covid hit in 2020 and family stopped visiting due to the virus, he decided to move to Clearview Lodge to be with more of his friends.
