He was predeceased by: his parents, John Nykolaychuk and Annie Nykolaychuk; his sister Elizabeth "Betty"; his nephew Bradley; his parents-in-law, Horace and Barbara Cundliffe; and his nephew Lyle Cundliffe.

He is survived by: his wife Sheila; his son Marlo (Heather); his grandson Marlo Robert; his daughter Melanie; his granddaughter Kiera Marie; his brother Ronald (Linda); and his brothers-in-law, Dwayne Cundliffe (Myrna) and Darwin Cundliffe (Rodena). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
