He was predeceased by: his parents, George and Annie; his daughter Beverly; and his daughter-in-law Barb. He is survived by: his wife Audrey; his children, Charlene Nelsen (Wayne), Craig (Colette), Cameron (Val) and Grant (Judy); his grandchildren, Owen (Neila), Blair (Heidi), Theresa (Dean), Jeff (Deanna), Luke (Karina), Ashley (Kyle), Stacey (Jeff), Jodi, Jennifer (Dane), Lauren (Tyler), Jess (Chris), Derek (Karly), Jackson, Hunter and Tristan; his sisters, Elaine and Anne; and his sister-in-law Shirley. He is also survived by 26 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Gordon was awarded The Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal and the Platinum Jubilee Award in recognition of his extraordinary contributions to his community.
