She was predeceased by: her former husband John Uniat; her parents, Steve Zaplachinski and Katherine Zaplachinski; her brothers, Steve and Edward; and her son-in-law Bill Hladunewich.
She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth Hladunewich, Victor Uniat (Leona), Anne MacLeod and Janet Motiuk (Rick); her husband Gerald Upton; her grandchildren, Colleen Wagner (Dwayne), Darryl Hladunewich, Shelley Turner (Garth), Jennifer Hladunewich, Michael Uniat (Corinne), Chad Uniat, Brandy Makarenko (Nathan) and Scott Motiuk; her brothers, Tom Zaplachinski (Joanne) and Bill Zaplachinski (Elaine); and her sisters-in-law, Vicky and Alice Zaplachinski. She is also survived by numerous extended family and friends.
