He was predeceased by: his parents, Cliff Cruthers and Naomi Cruthers; his sisters, Wendy Eberhardt and Kathleen Cruthers; his son-in-law Denis Martin; his parents-in-law, Milt and Zella Farrell; and his siblings-in-law, Lil Cruthers, Margaret Farrell, Howard Farrell and Doug Brower.

He is survived by: his wife Gertie Cruthers (Farrell); his daughter Carolyn Martin; his grandsons, Michael and Garrett Martin (Lindsey) of Vermilion; his son David Cruthers (Christa); his grandchildren, Hannah (Brandon) and Matthew Cruthers of St. Albert; his great grandchild Huxley Martin; his siblings, George Cruthers of Vermilion, Janet Shepherd (Ken) of Edmonton and Maureen Brower of Edmonton; and his siblings-in-law, Glenda Anderson (Harvey) of Vermilion and Harry Eberhardt (Isabelle) of Edmonton. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
