Gordon Brassington Obituary

With sadness, we share the passing of Gordon Brassington in Vermilion, Alberta. Gordon, born on August 4, 1946, passed away on June 24, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Brassington and Muriel Brassington; his parents-in-law, Conrad and Olive Svean; his aunts and uncles, Frank, Nellie Kirby, Lloyd, Eva Chambers, Charlie and Lavina Redmond; his nephew Lyle Curtis; his great-nephew Rick Sheppard; and his siblings-in-law, Pat Brassington, Gladys Roebuck, John Knowlson, Mason Curtis and Art Waterfield.

He is survived by: his wife Barb; his children, Tara Clarke (family: Olivia, Orry, Owen), Kevin Brassington (family: Cole, Rylan) and Ian Brassington (Shelly, family: Jacey, Jacob, Charley); his siblings, Eva Waterfield, David and Ron Brassington (Dorothy); and his siblings-in-law, Irene Knowlson (Edna Curtis) and Alan Svean (Dianne). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family.
