She was predeceased by: her husband Alfred John King; her granddaughter Cara; her parents, John Almond and Barbara Almond; her siblings, Anne, Marjorie, Ray, Frances, Paul, Louis and Lorne; and her siblings-in-law, Joy Al and Keith King (Frances).
She is survived by: her children, Kathleen Brook (Bill) of Edmonton, Cecil King (Pam) of Lacombe, Betty James (Dale) of Sherwood Park, Dale King (Isabel Boier) of Parksville and Jim King (Jodie) of Vermilion; her grandchildren, Darren King (Jodie Butler), Chris King, Carla James, Casey James (Dale Andre), Robbie King (Brenda Anderson), Jessica King, Scott King (Jody Cusack), Shawn King (Jami), Damian King (Alexa) and Tyra Rowe (Corey); and her great grandchildren, Liam, Sam, Andy King, Jasmine Ashmore, Kruz King, Havok and Sophie Rowe. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Vermilion Elks Hall (5026 49 Ave, Vermilion, AB T9X1B7).
Memorial donations may be made to the Vermilion Housing Foundation (Valley Lodge), Friends of Vermilion Health Centre, or charity of choice.
