He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Yolande; his children, Paul Karwandy, Christine Conacher (Mark), John Karwandy, Rose Marie Radford (Ian), Timothy Karwandy (Roxanne), Cecily Bardoel (Larry), Michael Karwandy, Barb Powers and Douglas Karwandy (Lee); and his sister Eunice Marosits. He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
