He was predeceased by: his wife Faye Yurystowski; his brother Dmetro Yurystowski; his sister-in-law Ann Yurystowski; his daughter-in-law Corrine; and his friend Kidi Pashulka.

He is survived by: his children, Eugene (Tracey Elliott) of Vermilion, Morris (Terry) of St. Albert and Anna Marie of Edmonton; his grandchildren, Robert (Tracey) of Thorsby, Chris (Shannon Regnar) of Thorsby, Ward (Shannon) of Red Deer and Haley Ellis (Mike) of St. Albert; and his great grandchildren, Tyler Simonet Yurystowski, Lauren, Sophia Yurystowski, Emberlyn, Khloe, Breille Yurystowski, Lydia and Jesse Ellis.
