He was predeceased by: his parents, William Onishenko and Kate Onishenko; his former wife Zonia Onishenko; his brother Harvey Onishenko; and his brothers-in-law, Walter Labiuk, Nick Labiuk and Leo Labiuk.

He is survived by: his wife Vi Young of Lloydminster; and his siblings-in-law, Florence Onishenko, Grace Labiuk, Violet Labiuk, Henry Labiuk (Carol Ann) and Jim Labiuk (Wanda). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
