She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Selte and Amy Selte; her son Arvin Nelson; her granddaughter Natahne Nelson; and her brothers, Arnold, Carl and Charlie Selte.

She is survived by: her former husband Fred Nelson of Vermilion; her family, Karoleigh, Kris and Marit; her children, Karoleigh, Kris and Marit; and her siblings, Don, Sonia, Jean and Janet. She is also survived by seven grandchildren.
