Walter Mytz Obituary

We are sad to announce that on September 11, 2025, Walter Mytz of Vermilion, Alberta passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Hazel Mytz; his parents, Mike Mytz and Matrona Mytz; and his parents-in-law, Fred and Gladys Nichols.

He is survived by: his children, Wayne Mytz (Donna), Murray Mytz (Bonnie), Brian Mytz (Amanda) and Marilyn Demas (Kirby); his grandchildren, Justin (Jordy), Kimberly Bardoel (Ryan), Braden Mytz (Shaelyn), Lane (Kennedy), Kade (Crystal), Cole (Levi), Elise Demas, Blaine Berniko (Kendra), Sheena Thiessen (Anthony), Jess Toews (Caleb) and Tara Brown (Landon); his great grandchild Jaime Mytz; his siblings-in-law, Cathie Howorko, John Nichols, Mary Blight (Randy), Ruth Longhurst (Charlie), Mabel Smart, Tom Nichols (Rezy), Alfred Nichols (Natalie), Grace Cawthorpe (Don), Alex Nichols (Donna) and Gail Cawthorpe (David); his cousin Wally Eliuk (Lil); his siblings, Michael Mytz, Fred Mytz (Joyce) and Jenny Borysiuk (Bill); his siblings-in-law, Joe Howorko, Mike Smart and Liz Nichols; and his cousins, Sam, Tony and Gus Eliuk. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mannville Recreational Centre.

Donations in memory of Walter may be made to the Mannville Cemetery.
