With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lloyd Eric Erickson of Viking, Alberta, who passed away on March 14, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Oscar Erickson and Florence Erickson; his wife Alvina (Nietfeld); his grandchildren, Mark (Becky), Emily and Faith; his daughter Leanne (Cory); and his siblings, Amanda, Norman (Judy) and Arnold (Margaret). He was also cherished by numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the charity of one's choice.

Donalde Suddaby wrote a sympathy message

“I am very sorry to hear about Lloyd as I have known him since childhood and we spent a lot of weekends on our bikes, we worked on the same jobs and have always kept in contact. It must be very hard Alvina for you and your family, I’m sure Lloyd was a good father and husband, take care of yourself now. I could not attend the funeral as I was on dyalisis at that time. Feel very sorry for your loss.”
