She was predeceased by: her husband Russell Hanson; her son Brent Hanson; her parents, Gerhard Thielman and Maria Thielman; and her siblings, Kay Thielman, Freida Thielman, Marie Stakaruk and George Thielman.

She is survived by: her daughters, Lori Schill (Bob) and Debbie Hanson (Ken). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
