Neil will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honour Neil by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though Neil is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Neil’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: parents: Joanne (Pierce) and Roy Gillard; partner: Sandra Zesko (Belle); children: Shelby Watt (Zack), Justin Rupert (Jocelyn), Thomas Swaffield, and Taylor Swaffield (Kristen); grandchildren: Bentley Rupert, Grayson Behuncik, Oliver Swaffield, and Emma Swaffield; sisters: Heather Gillard and Leanne (Brian) Cikaluk; brother: Scott; nephews and nieces: Kurt Gillard, Colin Gillard (Cydney, Garrison, and Branson), Kristin (Garett) Rupert (Leigh and Davan), Chentel (Wes) Cunningham (Addison and Vaughan), Sam (Craig), and Lane; doctors: Dr. Schiller, Dr. Tarukandirwa, Dr. Yam, and Dr. Siva; and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, friends' kids, extended family members, friends, coworkers, and nursing staff.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Kinsella Community Hall.
