He was predeceased by: his parents, James Marchand and Philomene Marchand; and his siblings, Trafflie, Jerry, Ernest, Homer, Clifford, Harvey, Victor Marchand, Mildred Hirst, Julia Cartier, Florence Scullion and Irene Mills.
He is survived by: his wife Laurette; his children, Faye Dunne (Rob) of Wainwright, Larry Marchand (Leola) of Revelstoke, BC, Wendy Marchand (Alex Heath) of Wainwright and Grant Marchand (Jaylyn Ettinger) of Czar; his grandchildren, Jason Dunne (Natasha), Aaron Dunne (Rachel), Dani Smith, Jordone Walker, Tom Walker, David Marchand (Sarah), Shelby Marchand, Kalisha Morgan (Sam), Laredo Hissett (Montana), Chasney Malo (Matt), Rahlston Hissett, Michela, Bodi, Alex Marchand (Alex), Noah Marchand and Reece Marchand (Juneau); his great grandchildren, Lincoln, Albert, Homer, Lucas, Audrey, Evelyn, John and David; and his siblings, Henry Marchand (Kay), Aimie Barber and Rose Hamilton.
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church (906 6 Ave, Wainwright, AB T9W1C8). A reception will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 2:15 PM to 4:15 PM at the same location.
If so desired the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Wainwright Long Term Care or to the charity of the donor's choice.
