Edith Mary Thoreson Obituary

We announce the death of Edith Mary Thoreson of Wainwright, Alberta, who passed away on November 1, 2026, at the age of 91. Edith will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband Al Thoreson. She is survived by: her daughter Lorraine Carol of Nanaimo; her grandchildren, Valerie Thoreson, Richelle Thoreson (Mark Alban), Megan Newton (Devan) and Madison Larson (Robert); and her great grandchildren, Sawyer Newton, Logan Newton, Pacey Larson and Asher Larson.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Grace United Church (1038 4 Ave, Wainwright, AB T9W1H2). A reception will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.

If so desired the family suggests memorial donations to the Wainwright Auxiliary Hospital Patient Comfort Fund or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
