He was predeceased by: his father Dr. Quentin Schindler; his brothers, Håkon and Oddvar; and his nephews, Kai and Graham.
He is survived by: his wife Hope; his children, Monica, Erin (Leon) and Reid; his grandchildren, Ava, Jaydan, Tanya and Macey; his siblings-in-law, Reid and Linda Schindler; his nieces, Brenda (Tom) and Bonnie; his sister Grete Kvernhusengen; his nieces, Elinor (Roy) and Laila (Iver); and his nephew Roar. He is also survived by children and their grandchildren.
