He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel A. Hart and Miriam E. M. Hart of Manitoulin Island, Ontario; his brother Gordon Alexander Hart of Gore Bay, Ontario; his father-in-law Gerald Stenberg (Minnesota) of Golden Valley; and his stepson-in-law Bruce Reimer of Winnipeg, Manitoba..

He is survived by: his wife Judy Drebert-Hart; his daughter Shannon Johnston Hart (Nick); his grandchildren, Kayla Hart and Brent Hart (Simone); his great grandchild Eleanor; his daughter Andrea Hart; his granddaughter Alexis Boutilier Hart; his brother Tim Hart (Michelle); his nephews, Brendan Hart and Connor Hart; his mother-in-law Esther Stenberg; his stepchildren, Gerald Drebert (Naomi), David Drebert (Adrianne), Jonathan Drebert (Tahra) and Amanda Reimer; his stepgrandchildren, Meadow, Blake, Maelle, Marlea, Lexi Drebert, Caiden, Brin, Avery Drebert, Renae, Jacob, Elijah Drebert, Anna, Maja, Ezra and Levi Reimer; his common-law partner Sherrill Barker; his former wife Elizabeth Westergard; and also Stacey.
