He was predeceased by : his parents, Emanuel Pohl and Alma Pohl; his siblings, Walter, John, Ray, Richard and Ellen; and his son-in-law Ulrich Dagge.

He is survived by : his wife Ruby; his children, Darlene Kreutz (Bert), Anita Pohl-Dagge, Kathleen Woloszyn (Darek), Victor Pohl (Susanne) and Donald Pohl (Tracy); his grandchildren, Christine, Jennifer, Melania, Greg, Anthony, Sophia, Ceyanna, Hannah, Matheson and Sarah; and his great grandchildren, Saige, Avery and Marlo.

A graveside service was held on Thursday, May 9th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Emmaus Lutheran Church Cemetery (Township Rd 464, Wetaskiwin, AB). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 9th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Zion Lutheran Church (5417 40 Ave, Wetaskiwin, AB T9A0A7).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lutheran Hour Ministries (270 Lawrence Avenue, Kitchener, Ontario, N2M 1Y4), or Zion Lutheran Church in Wetaskiwin (5417 40 Ave, Wetaskiwin, Alberta, T9A 0A7), or a charity of donor's choice are greatly appreciated.
