He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Cherniak and Eileen Cherniak; and his parents-in-law, Rudolph and Anne Kiefert. He is survived by: his wife Dana; his sons, Neil Kreutz (Narissa) and Joseph Cherniak; his grandchildren, Eva and Lucas Kreutz; his siblings, Wayne Cherniak (Rita), Gerry Cherniak (Nadia) and Joanne Bacon (Darryl); and his brother-in-law John Benvik. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Baker Funeral Chapel (5302 50 Ave, Wetaskiwin, AB T9A0T1). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
