She was predeceased by: her husband Jack Gist; her son Randy Gist; her son-in-law Stan Besler; her parents, Anders Bengtson and Dorit Bengtson (Babe); and her siblings, Pearl Holmes (Neil), Beatrice Nagel (Ron) and Hugh.
She is survived by: her children, Daisy Besler, Tom Gist (Margaret), Bryan Gist (Phyllis), Wayne Gist (Shawna) and Donnie Gist; and her brother Bruce Bengtson. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Lakedell Agriculture Centre. A burial was held on Wednesday, December 3rd 2025 at the Hegge Cemetery.
