He was predeceased by : his siblings, Martha Watson (Ed), David and John McDermott; his former life partner Lucille McDermott; his son Robert McDermott (Bobby); and his parents, Gordon McDermott and Isabelle McDermott.
He is survived by : his wife Lill McDermott; his children, Jeanne Lauck (Vernon), Dennis McDermott (Wilma), Elaine Thompson (Rick) and Darlene Dube (Simon); and his stepchildren, Dale Wheadon (Debbie Leidl), Hazel Keys (Calvin), Holly Sieben (Garry), Paul Wheadon and Paula Sebo (Russell). He is also survived by nieces and nephews, numerous extended family, and several wonderful friends.
