He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph McCaughan and Gertrude McCaughan; and his wife Ann. He is survived by: his daughters, Nancy McCaughan (Andre Plante), Lori Maurer and Barbara Schneider; his grandchildren, Leanne Adams, Derek Maurer (Ashley), Holly Sebastian (Steven), Robin Plante (Holly), Chantal Lauweryssen (Ben), Yvonne Schneider and Matthew Schneider; his great grandchildren, Marie, Samantha, Owen, Emmet, Ruby, Declan, Emily and Cirilla; and his sisters, Joyce and Joanne of Winnipeg.
A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, August 25th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Matsqui Lutheran Church (5781 Riverside St, Abbotsford, BC V4X1T7).
In lieu of flowers we ask a donation to Matsqui Lutheran Church Memorial Fund or to the BC Cancer Clinic – Abbotsford.
