He was predeceased by: his father Carl Friesen; and his brother Douglas Friesen. He is survived by: his wife Janice Friesen (Dyck); his children, Cassie Stam (Blayne), Adam Friesen, Holly Takenaka (Joseph) and Jack Friesen; his grandsons, Malachi and Elijah Takenaka; his mother Viola Friesen; and his brother Rick Friesen (Rose). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and many other extended family.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Northview Community Church (32040 Downes Rd, Abbotsford, BC V4X1X5).
