He was predeceased by: his parents, Doreen and John Tiessen; and his siblings, Ron, David Tiessen and Sandra Tiessen-Kapelari.

He is survived by: his wife Eileen; his children, Michael Tiessen and Leanne Stenerson (Christopher); his grandchildren, Braedon, Caleb, Paris, Vienna, Ashlynn and Cole; his siblings, Brenda Irving (Jim), Ken Tiessen (Sandra) and Brad Tiessen (Suzanne); and his siblings-in-law, Karen, Sharon and Pat. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.
