Elizabeth Nickel Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elizabeth Nickel (Abbotsford, British Columbia), born in Duchess, Alberta, who passed away on February 3, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henrich Retzlaff and Elisabeth Retzlaff; her husband David Nickel; her son-in-law Don Voth; and her grandsons, Jonathan Ewert and Adam Nickel.
She is survived by: her children, Elma Voth, Ed Nickel (Alison), Leona Ewert (Bert), Lillian Vincent (Doug) and Irene Claassen (Norm). She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
We are unable to find adequate words to describe our gratitude to the staff of E2 who found themselves in the midst of Covid and put themselves in harm's way every day as they so lovingly cared for the residents.
