It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernest Donald Poignant (Abbotsford, British Columbia), who passed away on July 15, 2021, at the age of 102, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Rose of Abbotsford; his children, Valerie (Phil) of Ladysmith, Gary (Linda) of Sherwood Park and Alberta; his parents, Albin and Hedvig; his siblings, David and Thelma; and his grandmother Hulda Poignant. He was also cherished by three grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Less than a month later, COVID-19 hit but Ernie was not deterred.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mennonite Benevolent Society.
