“I apologise for being late after Harold's passing but I still wish to send my condolences to the family. As a member of the Legion in Abbotsford, I got to know Harold, ("Andy") well. We had many chats over the years and I really enjoyed listening to his experiences in the Netherlands during WW II and how when staying with a Dutch family he got his mother to send the young daughter a pair of shoes as she had none. He was a very caring person whom I will always remember. from Peter Slade”
