He was predeceased by: his son Donnie; his parents, Theodore Borne and Mary Borne; and his siblings, George, Henry, Jake, Art, Laura and Helen.
He is survived by: his wife Hilda; his daughters, Carolyn Kuerbis (Fred), Jodi McKenzie and Fiona Borne; his grandchildren, Sydney McKenzie-Hougestol (Nicholas), Ashtyn McKenzie, Clay Kuerbis (Lauren), Bailey Franklin (Jadon) and Jackson McKenzie; and his great grandchild Hudson Franklin.
