He is survived by: his wife Veronica Houweling; his children, Jennifer Houweling (Trevor Dillman), Steven Houweling (Colby), Derek Houweling (Rose), Herman Houweling (Hannah) and Rob Houweling (Jaden); his grandchildren, Maria, Chase, Brooke, Ethan, Levi, Ava, Kaden, Cohen, Jackson, Ella and Dean; his siblings, Hester Schouten (William), Cor Houweling (Lia), Joop Houweling (Elly), Piet Houweling (Evelien), Marieke Groenendyk (Jaap), Herman Houweling (Elma) and Tom Houweling (Jeanet); and his brother-in-law Bill Selles (Teresa). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Abbotsford Canadian Reformed Church (33947 King Rd, Abbotsford, BC V2S7M7).
