He was predeceased by: his wife Mabel; his parents, Irven and Carrie; and his sisters, Devessa Doty and Phyllis Friebel.

He is survived by: his sons, Don (Karen), Dave and Doug (Brigitte); his grandchildren, Kevin, Korilee, Jay, Luc and Kris; and his siblings, Delbert and Marian Espenant (Harry).
