He was predeceased by: his sister Mandy Johnston. He is survived by: his wife Lynda; his children, Elmer, Bradley (Sonya), Brandon and Shaunna (Martin); his grandsons, Austin, Alex and Aiden; his children, Danielle, Keith, Rachael, Brent, Steven and Carly; and his brother Brian Johnston.
