We announce the death of Violet May Collins (Abbotsford, British Columbia), who passed away on September 15, 2026, at the age of 96. Violet will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Violet will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Violet will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Violet’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Milton Strome and Pearl Strome; and her husband Harold Collins. She is survived by: her children, Dale (Karen), Dan (Carol), Brian (Daphne) and Brenda (Ken). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Sevenoaks Alliance Chapel (2575 Gladwin Rd, Abbotsford, BC V2T3N8).
