He was predeceased by: his brother Joseph McDonald; and his parents, John Clifford McDonald and Margaret Ann McDonald. He is survived by: his former wife Mariette; his children, Joyce, Gordon, Richard and Audrey; and his brothers, Doug (Joan) and Ken (Beverly). He is also survived by his grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
