He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Terril Veeneman (Gary), Shirley Verwoerd (Art), Rich (Jenny) and Wayne (Frankie); his grandchildren, Michelle (Kevin), Daniel (Erin), Sheri (Cam), Becky (Michael), Justin (Taylor), Alisa, Derek (Sarah), Jessica (Jesse), Tia, Ryan (Ashley), Jeremy (Sam) and Cassidy; his parents, John Tol and Teuntje van Tol; and his spouse Hennie Kleine. He was also cherished by 15 great-grandchildren.

It was the foundation of his life, demonstrated both at home with his family, and also in the community.
